Organic Cotton

Earth Day is coming up and I feel like promoting the notion of organic cotton. Buy it- wear it- love it. It is grown in soils that have been certified free from pesticides, herbicides, and other cancer causing toxins.  This process serves the earth making it greener and keeping it that way for our future generations. We want to safeguard farm and textile workers from such toxins.
Care for your organic cotton by washing in delicate cycle in your cold water wash. Hang to dry outside now that the weather is getting more spring like.

This is so important (not to be a downer) as I attended the funeral of a young women this week who lost her battle with cancer.

So we have to become vigilant in our ways to reduce our exposure to these and all other chemicals.

Payless Shoe Source is hosting Zoe&Zac a line of shoes and bags that are totally green fashion. Going green as a journey means you have to take a step and start somewhere. Buy an inexpensive shoe option that will help the cause.

One more favorite of mine this week is the all natural Burt's Bees 2 pack of Fabulously Fresh Peppermint and Rosemary Body Bar. Two bars of soap 4oz each that spell so good you can taste it.
