Fashion becomes art, as art becomes fashion

My current obsessions are Vena Cava and Rodarte. I have mentioned these designers before but now that spring 2009 is upon us they are worth mentioning again.

Rodarte is designed by two sisters: Laura and Kate Mulleavy www.rodarte.net

Interestingly enough at Eileen Fisher, Inc, we have a wide U neck A line tee in linen jersey. Simple and flared, the fit is flattering and the texture is perfect for anything from jeans to silk. It is a light and airy fabric that retails for $118.00 which is about half of the Vena Cava shirt.  (image at left)

It is nice to know that you can emulate some of these looks for less. Rodarte is so unusual it can not be imitated.
